How I get myself out of bed every morning?

Every college student should read this.

It’s no secret that quarantine has taken a serious toll on all of us, especially on our mental health. I’m sure you’ve heard enough about self-care and yet it’s still hard to take time for yourself and stay in the present moment. I mean honestly I’ve been taking so much time for myself and I still feel exhausted and burned out. But why?

I took some time to reflect and realized that the problem was perhaps deeper than an issue a Korean face mask could fix. Much like other people my age, I have a hard time concentrating and often have my mind in social media rather than in my own head. Time just blend together and before I know it weeks have passed. I have so much planned for the future why can’t I just act on it and get myself started?

This is where we talk about self-doubt. I did not have faith in my abilities and feared failure so much that I subconsciously assumed it would be useless to even start. So how do you fix this narrative?

YOU HAVE TO REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR BELIEFS

In other words, everything you’ve been told so far…yeah rethink what you actually want to believe in. Specifically, I’m talking about the questions you ask yourself but also the lies you tell yourself. Instead of telling yourself “I will” change that to “will I ?”. See the difference.

You also need to change your mindset and shift from other people’s lives to your own. Social media has us involved in so many other people’s lives to the point that we sometimes forget about our own. If you spend time with yourself and figure out what love, you will save a lot of time and a lot of money.

Ok so what really gets me out of bed at 5 am every morning?

It’s a CLEAR purpose. So what is a clear purpose. It is a goal with a plan and a deadline. Once you have this you will get up so FAST. What is your why? And how will you get there?

For some people they need a role model to motivate them. Find someone who is in a position you want to be in and use them as your driver to be better.
